By using Foodmetria you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. The service

Foodmetria publishes nutrition facts, ingredients, scores, comparisons and user reviews for packaged food products. The service is free and provided for general information.

2. Not medical or dietary advice

Content on Foodmetria is not medical, nutritional or dietary advice and does not replace advice from a qualified professional. Scores such as Nutri-Score and NOVA describe general nutritional quality and processing, not suitability for your personal needs. If you have allergies, intolerances or a medical condition, always read the product label and consult a professional.

3. Accuracy of data

Product data comes largely from Open Food Facts, a collaborative database, and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Manufacturers change recipes and packaging. We make reasonable efforts to present data correctly but give no guarantee of accuracy or completeness. The information on the product package always prevails.

4. Data licenses and attribution

Product data is used under the Open Database License (ODbL) and the Database Contents License (DbCL); product photos under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike. If you reuse data you obtain through Foodmetria, you must follow those licenses. See Data sources & licenses. Foodmetria's own design, code, logos and original texts are protected and may not be copied without permission.

5. Reviews and other contributions

When you submit a review you confirm that it reflects your own honest experience with the product, that you are not paid or otherwise compensated for it, and that you are not affiliated with the brand or a competitor without disclosing it. You must not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, misleading, spam, advertising, or that contains personal data of others.

You keep ownership of your review. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, display, translate, excerpt and distribute it in connection with Foodmetria. We may moderate, refuse or remove any review at our discretion, including to comply with law or search engine guidelines. We do not edit the meaning of reviews and do not publish reviews in exchange for payment.

6. Acceptable use

Do not disrupt the site, attempt unauthorised access, or scrape it at a rate that degrades the service. If you need bulk data, use the original open datasets from Open Food Facts.

7. Links to other sites and affiliate disclosure

We link to third-party websites such as Open Food Facts. Some links, and the optional “Also search deals on …” box next to search, lead to partner sites and may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Partnerships never influence our scores, rankings or comparisons. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on information on the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Changes and termination

We may change these terms or the service at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. We may suspend access for anyone who breaches them.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator of Foodmetria is established, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
